Colour your amazement. The name of the Onclin-Chabrion foundation project for students in group 5 at the Franciscusschool in Oldenzaal. A great success with creative children resulting in colourful hubcaps.
This project took place at the Onclin Interieur projects gallery on the Kleibultweg.
After a preparation lesson (17th May) the students were given a guided tour of Kor Onclin’s permanent exhibition. What’s more, attention was especially given to looking at the art, what you experience from it and from ‘Amazement’.
The children, thoroughly inspired, subsequently set themselves to work full with enthousiasm (outside, on long tables) painting car hubcaps. And the result was pretty good! 23 colourful and diversely painted hubcaps; each child its own creation. A real experience for them but also for the teachers who watched the children attentively and with pleasure at work on their artworks.
The teachers informed the CEPPO during evaluation that they found it a magnificent and very significant project for students. Children learning while working in a playful and creative way is very satisfying as well as providing us with splendid little works of art! The end result of 9 is also a wonderful appreciation of this pilot.
